Handloom Saree Love ft. Phulari

Fashion should be something that in the morning,
when you open your window,
you say, ‘Oh fantastic, sun!’ Then you take your shower, you say,
‘OK fantastic, which colour I wear today because I feel happy?’
This should be fashion.

Hey Guys!!

Hope you all are doing fine. So today, I am here for you guys with something I love the most and that’s saree. Yes, you read it right. Recently I received this beautiful saree from Phulari, to which I came across recently.

Phulari is a platform to showcase skilled craftsman ship of small artisans that is about to get extinct in India.  It promotes their culture and traditions and is trying to preserve the beautiful art heritage of India. On the website of Phulari you will find too many varieties from clothing to jewelleries. They have a vast collection of handmade and hand crafted items to choose from. They have Banarsi Handloom, hand Block Prints, Kantha Embroidery work, Phulkari work, Vietnamese silk work, Suzani Embroidery work & Kashida and Fine wool along with Handcrafted jewellery.

I got my hands on this Bagru Print Cotton Saree from the Hand Block Print range.
Bagru printing is one of the traditional techniques of printing with natural colours followed by chippas of remote places in Rajasthan. Bagru print is century’s old traditional art of hand block printing that is still alive.

My saree is orange and blue in colour which complement each other perfectly. If you guys have any idea about colour blocking technique then you’ll clearly understand what I am trying to say here. In colour wheel blue and orange shades are exactly on the opposite shades of the wheel and according to one of the three rules of colour blocking, opposite shades complement each other very well. And so, undoubtedly I chose this particular piece.

Along with this I received a blue oxidized silver neck piece and a pair of orange silk tassel earring. You guys know how much I love jewelries, so these two were a sure shot item to get my hands on.
I basically opted for a simple sleeveless blouse in solid orange, the cloth piece for which came along with the saree, because I didn’t wanted to steal the charm of the saree prints and jewelries.
For one look I simply paired my saree with blue oxidized neck piece from Phulari and a simple oxidized earring from my own collection. This gave me more of a mature, experienced and sober look and was perfect for any social gathering or function.

For the very second look I didn’t changed much. It was all about the jewelries. I just took off those silver oxidized jewelries and put on those lovely orange silk tassel earrings. Since tassel earring give you more of a funky look so when I paired it up with saree my look just change from proper ethnicity to that of a fusion. This look was perfect to carry around for casual parties or may be even college farewell.

Overall, I was satisfied with their beautiful vast collection and website. The material was truly fine. The best part about them is that all the materials include handcraft and handloom that gives out the true essence of culture. So if you guys are into buying some real ethnic collection just check their website out. I am sure you won’t be disappointed at all with their high quality products with intricate designs.

So see you guys and soon I’ll be back with another bang-on blog post. Take a look at all the pictures and website too and let me know your views regarding this look I created and for any further query just comment below and I’ll get in touch with you.

Love You all!!

Fresh Summer Look!!

“I have always believed that fashion was not only to make women more beautiful, but also to reassure them, give them confidence.”  —  Yves Saint Laurent Hey Guys!! Yeah yeah.. I know.. its been long. But trust me last couple of months have been really hectic for me. More precisely, its been confusing. I was planning to leave New Delhi and all that. And then I had to cancel that plan all of a sudden and go home for some personal issue. And as I returned I had to shift. I hope some of you might be knowing the pain of shifting when you are all alone. Packing, unpacking, cleaning, arranging and all that stuff.  But yeah.. now I am free and there's gonna be a lot of posts from now on. Apart from all that I completed two years of my blogging and its all because of you guys. Seriously, without you guys I am nothing. Thank you for being a part of my beautiful journey. Well now lets dive into this post.  So as you can see the look that I have created...

White Green & Black Ombre Nail Art

Hello guys😇😍😘 Here I am back today with a new Nail Art tutorial.  When I did, I felt in love with that White Green and Black Ombre Nail Art. You could do this just using a makeup sponge... or any kind of sponge that does not absorb much. So without wasting a moment, here are the simple steps that you need to follow and then you will end up with an amazing nail art. Step 1 Apply a base coat on your clean and dry nails and leave it to dry and then paint your nails white. You could apply two coats of white on your nails for a perfect finish. Step 2 Take green colour on a pallete. Dab sponge over the green nail colour and then dab that coloured sponge over your white painted nails. If there is excess nail colour on sponge then dab it over the pallete and remove the excess otherwise you could end up with a messy nail. Step 3 Similarly take a drop of black colour on pallete and dab sponge over it, remove the excess if any, and then dab it over the gr...
